Avade baselayer giveaway: so hot right now
It’s been a cold winter so far. How cold? Temperatures tipping -8 at Thredbo Top Station some nights; days where it’s felt like -15 out on the hill with windchill; and it hasn’t busted 0 degrees at Mt Hotham since June 20.
These are the times you could use a heated Avade baselayer; not to mention those chilly overseas trips to Japan, Alberta and all those other cold arse places you head to during the northern winter.
Fortunately we have two of these beauties to give away this week for our subscribers.
So what’s the deal with the Avade compression top/baselayer?
Well, we all know how important the baselayer is. They’re your first point of contact with the skin and if they aren’t right the best midweight layer or jacket isn’t going to help as much as they should. (Don’t get me started with cotton t-shirts as a first layer, they retain moisture and may ultimately leave you cold).
The Avade compression top goes the extra mile with two heat panels at the front and one at the back, all controlled by an LED push-button on the wrist. There are three levels of heat – so you can crank it up for that chilly chairlift ride, switch it down for those last few cruisers of the day or turn it off completely when you’re smashing the bumps somewhere.
It’s all controlled by a lightweight battery pack which works for 500+ charges. The battery can also be replaced or you can pick up a spare. And as you would expect the garment will handle any water, sweat or probably even a couple of steins worth of beer.
They come in black and white and sizes range from small through to XXL.
