FILE 12 - More Than Me featuring. Andrea Martin
This is a unique song on the album in that, while all of the others were written from scratch. This one was originally penned by the late legendary songwriter Andrea Martin. It leaked in the UK about a year ago. It was an honor and privilege to finish and record this song and be a part of honoring her legacy. This was also the song that took the longest to record. I recorded it 3 times to try to capture the spirit and story that Andrea had intended. Andrea Martin, one of the most prolific vocalists and writers, has been responsible for the careers of many of your favourite artists, writing life changing and career defining songs.
However she was often kept in the shadows and not acknowledged as she should have been as the writer of these great records. As a songwriter myself, it is important to me that you know that this song is Andrea's song, keeping her on the record was important to me so that her voice could also be heard as it should. Listen carefully to her magic weaved between and floating throughout this song. I'm grateful to her, her family, team and creative collaborators who all felt the importance that Andrea's light should shine above all else.
