Win Snowy Mtns flights with REX!

Posted by on Jun 13, 2016 in Giveaway | 2 comments

Ok, this video may not be Regional Express‘s new flight service to Cooma. In fact I must confess it isn’t. I have been down to Cooma with REX and they definitely wouldn’t let me tow behind the plane. Never mind the fact there wasn’t a foot of snow …

Be that as it may as part of The Snow Gauge’s 12 weeks of giveaways we do genuinely have a couple of return airfares to throw your way that will be valid for 12 months.

All you have to do is read on a little (and I mean a little, honestly), sign-up for The Snow Gauge Newsletter and read the next Monday’s newsletter (June 20) to see if you’ve won. It’s that simple  – even a monoboarder could do it!

Since March REX has been operating year-round flights between Sydney and the Snowy Mountains (Cooma).

Now with more services operating through Friday to Monday during winter, a long weekend (or longer) at the snow has never been easier. Enjoy the onboard hospitality as REX takes you to the mountains in just over an hour.

Getting to the NSW Snowy Mountains suddenly just became a lot easier – and quicker – with REX.

For schedules and to book flights go to while information on hire cars and shuttle transport is available from

Even if you’re not lucky enough to win do check out REX’s flights which can be as cheap as $99 each way. It’s great service and your patronage from Sydney or Cooma will help ensure it stays!

  1. looked at flying from Brisbane or Coolangatta to Cooma on a Sunday in August(live roughly 1/2 way between the 2 airports), but can’t get to Sydney to get the 8am flights & the next one is at 12.35pm.

So I either have to overnight in Sydney(not) or get on snow at 4pm. If the 8am flight went about 8.15am, we could connect from both Brisbane & Gold Coast & get 1/2 day of skiing. Believe the lifts are free Sunday pm, if you buy a 5 day Mon-Fri lift pass or longer.

    • NZ has got Qld covered pure and simple. It’d be great if there were better options to make it simple from there but I have to be honest and say there simply aren’t. Would love to have Cooma or Dinner Plain direct but can’t see it happening.
