In July 2019, she recorded and released “Free to Be” making this her fourth album. “The Look of Love” (originally composed by the Burt Bacharach & Hal David team) is a beautiful classic tune and Kim continues the beauty and passion of the song with her flute style. I have been following Kim Scott’s music ever since she released her successful sophomore album (Rite of Passage) in 2013. Jazz music listeners are really missing out if they haven’t broaden their instrument palette beyond the sax, piano or bass guitar for what’s acceptable or pleasing. Flute music produces some of the most beautiful sounds. Kim Scott has certainly shown she’s mastered that skill and she has a discography of several albums and hit singles to prove it.
