Yesterday, August 13, after breakfast I glanced at the piano. On the desk was my wife’s study book — she’s recently started taking piano lessons again. She was working on a little exercise. I sang the first six notes… and thought: I can turn this into a piece!

Here it is — a light, accessible work in C major, with a gentle modulation to A♭ major in the middle. I hope you enjoy it!
