Description

Challah is more than just a delicious loaf of bread.

It represents the connection between G-d and the Jewish people, the gift of the Sabbath, and the unity of the Jewish community.

We shape the dough into braids, which symbolize love, truth, and peace. On Friday night, we bless and break two whole loaves of challah, to commemorate the double portion of manna that fell from heaven for the Israelites in the desert.

Challah is not only a food, but a way of expressing our faith, gratitude, and joy. 🍞🤍
