Tanita Tikaram (born 12 August 1969) is a British singer, best known for her songs "Good tradition" and "Twist in My Sobriety".
Line-up @ Island of Bomlo (Norway): Helen O'Hara, Rory McFarlane, Mark Russell, David Clifton and Frank Tontoh.
Tanita Tikaram became famous with the songs "Good tradition" and "Twist in My Sobriety", which have become classics in many countries. The songs were taken from her debut album, Ancient Heart, which was released in 1988. She then released a few more singles, but her later work is less known to the general public. But she continued to attract a large audience, partly because of her crossover music between pop and folk.
The Cappuccino Songs, was released in 1998.
In 2005 Tanita Tikaram returned to the limelight with the release of a new album called Sentimental and seven years later with Can't go back which was successful in Belgium.
